Taught English and history in grades 5 to 11 in public schools of Yarmouth County for 27 years.

Writer, teacher, paddler and naturalist who has been canoeing the rivers of southwestern Nova Scotia for 30 years.

Has recently published his first book on canoe routes of southwestern Nova Scotia entitled Paddling the Tobeatic.

Have paddled the Potomac River in Virginia/Maryland to the Ottawa River in Ontario/Québec, as well as the St. Croix in Maine/New Brunswick, the Dumoine and Gatineau in Québec, and 33 rivers in Nova Scotia.
